Our Trips - Wildlife Tours

Ever since the dawn of civilization man has co-existed with animal. Human beings evolved less than 2 million years ago while reptiles, animals, birds and insects evolved hundreds of million years earlier. Man, with his power, hunted these animals and managed to wipe out many species of wildlife, some of them are now extinct, while some are endangered species and found in very small numbers. Indian religions like Jainism, Buddhism and Hinduism believe in non–violence and have shown extreme compassion for all types of living beings. India strictly conserves and protects its wildlife. Hunting is banned and punishable by law, although poaching continues among the tribals in jungles. Owing to India’s vast geographical conditions, forest vegetation varies from zone to zone. Most National Parks and wildlife sanctuaries are open to tourist from October to Mid June, however the best time to visit these parks are between the Mid November to Mid April, after which the Indian summers and monsoons make it uncomfortable to travel.

All our wildlife safaris are accompanied by an expert naturalist guide and driver, who know the forest like their own back yards. An odyssey in itself, the Indian wildlife is a thrilling and intense experience and must not be missed. Since most of these jungles are near the rivers, you also have an option of spending some time angling for the Mahaseer (Indian trout). The buffer zones surrounding these sanctuaries offer accommodation of good quality resorts, with facility of swimming pool, indoor games, well stocked library of books and video cassettes on wildlife, choice of multi-cuisine and well stocked bar, with campfire in winter months.

One of the wildlife conservation message reads “lay down the gun! Pick up the camera! Shoot! The moment lives the animals live.”
