Kumbh (literally meaning earthen Pot) taking place every 12 years at confluence of Ganges, Yamuna & Mythological Saraswati rivers, goes dates back to mark the accidental fall of “Nectar†during the scuffle between Gods and Demons after Churning of Ocean, it is believed that at regular intervals of 12 years, the confluence waters acquires the properties of Nectar, thus absolving one of all Sins, granting Salvation (rid from cycle of Birth and death), and this causes a spectacular show of faith with largest human gathering , free from barriers of cast, creed, geography and with one common Goal…Salvation !
