Ranvas – the abode of the Queens (Rani – queen, Vas – Home) is situated in the Ahhichatragarh Fort, more commonly known as the Nagaur Fort. It was the erstwhile residence of the Ranis of the former Maharaja of Jodhpur, Bhakt Singh. Built in the 18th century, each of the 10 Haveli’s housed one of the Raja’s queens and today, thoroughly restored, these haveli’s that have been refurbished into opulent suites, are named after the Rani who resided there.
