Delhi, the capital of India and one of the oldest cities of the world, is unlike any other city on the planet. It's a place that not only touches your pulse but even fastens it to a frenetic speed. With a history that goes back many centuries & empires, Delhi showcases an ancient culture and a rapidly modernising country. From the labyrinth of narrow lanes, old havelis and colourful bazaars of Old Delhi to the best features of a modern city such as a metro system, gleaming malls, bustling markets and fabulous eating places; the past and the present mix seamlessly together in Delhi.
Centuries-old monuments are a part of the city's daily life. An array of historical sites including the World Heritage Sites of Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar rest amongst several historical treasures in Delhi's possession. Add to this the presence of diverse cultures, sprawling greenery, rich architecture and a famed cuisine, and Delhi becomes one of the undisputed highlights of the country.

Trip to India Representative will meet you at the airport and transfer to hotel and overnight.
Following day morning proceed for a guided tour of Old Delhi.
Later in the afternoon transfer Delhi Safdarjung Railway station where the guests are accorded a warm, traditional welcome before the Palace-on-Wheels pulls out into the night for a week-long luxury cruise through fascinating Rajasthan.

The capital city of the desert state of Rajasthan, Jaipur is reminiscent of the royal way of life that was once integral to this region. Today it is fondly referred to as the “Pink City†because of the trademark structures that sit here.

The first stop of the Palace-on-Wheels is Jaipur, one of the most well planned cities of the world of its time. This capital city of Rajasthan, popularly known as the Pink City,was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, in 1727 A.D.
To explore the city, an air-conditioned coach takes you to Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, which is a remarkable five storied building a one the main street of the old city in pink splendor with semi-octagonal and delicate honey combed sandstone windows. This is followed by a visit to Amber Fort where elephant ride is available to climb up the hill. Lunch at a Five Star Hotel followed by visit to City Palace Museum and Observatory.

Ranthambore National Park (1 night)

Ranthambore National Park
Based in the North Indian state of Rajasthan; Ranthambore National park is aptly named owing to the presence of the notable Ranthambhore fort in the grounds. Extending over 392 square kilometers, the park impresses travelers from the world over with its abundant resident flora and fauna. A much sought after destination for eco-tourism, the park is visited by wildlife enthusiasts, photographers and naturalists all year.

One can almost sense a life of the wilderness, as the Palace-on-Wheels arrives in Sawai Madhopur, a city named after its founder Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I. After breakfast a visit is arranged to the Ranthambhor National Park, wherein are located the ruins of a 10th century fort. This wildlife sanctuary is considered to be the country's best for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. The park, covering an area of 392 sq. kms. is home to more than 300 species of birds. The tiger, hyena, rate, jackal and fox are among those constituting the carnivorous population here. Sawai Madhopur is known for its excusive toys, ethnic ornaments and costumes. Upon return to the Palace-on-Wheels, you leave for Chittorgarh, when one gets an opportunity to watch the colourful countryside passing by in the daylight.

Chittorgarh is rich with stories of Rajputana bravery, pride, and passion. The local bardssing tales of courage and sacrifice, recounting stories that are fondly known to everyone. Chittorgarh is named after its most imposing structure, the Chittorgarh Fort which is perched atop a high hill. The fort itself has had a tumultuous past. This bastion of the Rajput valour has seen violent battles and the silver lining of victory, thrice in its entire history.

After lunch on board you are in Chittorgarh. Images of love and velour; scars of battles lost and won...thrice-besieged, Chittorgarh Fort is all this and more. Moving legends of honor and pride will echo in your mind as you proceed to Udaipur.

Udaipur is a noted tourist destination in Rajasthan and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in India. The city looks marvelous with Lake Pichola on one side and the Aravalli ranges on the other. Besides, Udaipur is also dotted with beautiful palaces, havelis, and forts that remind us of the wonderful architecture of the past.

Udaipur, the Lake City, was founded by Maharana Udai Singh of Mewar, after the Sisodia dynasty was driven way by the Mughals, in 1559A.D. Perhaps the two most beautiful sites of Udaipur are the dream-like marble palaces- the Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and the Jag Mandir, which appear to rise from the blue waters of Lake Pichhola. After lunch at a Five Star Hotel, a visit to the City Palace.

Often perceived to be one of Rajasthan’s most exotic cities, Jaisalmer offers one a kind old world charm through its imposing Sonar Qila or Golden Fort, old havelis and winding streets that offer enchanting visions at every turn.

In the heart of the Thar desert lies Jaisalmer, founded by Rawal Jaisal,in 1 1 56 A.D. Here the yellow sandstone fort is an imposing sight,towering magnificently over the city. Discover the painstakingly latticed havelis or mansions with their grand facades. The Nathmalji-ki-haveli, Patwon-ki-haveli and Salim Singh-ki-haveli are fine examples of the stone carver's skill.Shop for fine pattu shawls ,mirror work and embroidered articles , wooden boxes , trinkets , silver jewellery and curios.
After lunch on board, go for an exciting camel ride on the sand dunes of Sam, before sipping a refreshing cup of tea. Enjoy the dinner and the cultural porgramme at a Five Star hotel.

Often referred to as the “Sun Cityâ€, it is named so because of the bright sunny weather that continues to bless these lands all year round. This enchanting dessert city was founded by the then chief of the Rathore Clan, Rao Jodha way back in 1459. Formerly referred to as Marwar, this is the second largest city in the state and offers charming experiences through the Old and New parts.

Next morning the Palace-on-Wheels is in Jodhpur, a city ringed by a high stone wall with seven gates and several bastions. This second largest city of Rajasthan, founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 A.D. is known for its rock-solid Mehrangarh Fort. The grand palaces within -Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana are impressive examples of architectural excellence. Near the fort complex lies Jaswant Thada, and a group of royal cenotaphs made of white marble. After lunch at a Palace hotel, return to the Palace-on-Wheels. While in Jodhpur shop for exquisite handicraft articles including the famous breeches, embroidered shoes, metal curios, silverware, paintings and tie and dye fabrics.

The Keoladeo Ghana National Park is a celebrated avifauna sanctuary based in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. It was once referred to as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and is now a World Heritage Site, home to thousands of birds. Its position on the Gangetic Plain is one of the main contributors for it attracting an extensive range of migrant birds and fauna. The sanctuary is frequently visited by ornithologists who hope to catch a glimpse of several protected birds that are native to the region.

In the morning, the Palace on Wheels arrives in Bharatpur, the capital of Maharaja Suraj Mal . After breakfast pay a visit to the world famous bird sanctuary, Keoladeo Ghana National Park, the nesting place for thousands of Egrets, Siberian Cranes, migratory Water Fowl and other species of birds.

Agra is an ancient city on the banks of the River Yamuna. It finds mention in the Mahabharata but gained importance as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1556 - 1658. It is on the Golden Triangle tourist circuit with Delhi and Jaipur. It is famous for its Mughal architecture and for being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal - a monument of incredible elegance and architectural perfection. Agra has many other famous archeological sites and is famous for its marble inlay work and its leather industry that manufactures shoe uppers for some of the best shoe companies in the world.

Upon arrival visit the Agra Fort and after lunch arrive at the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. A pristine monument of undying love. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. Agra is known for its splendid marble inlay work like the Pietra Dura work on the Taj, leather goods and jewellery.
