Heritage

Shimla, Himachal Pradesh
Upper Mid Range
Spanning across four acres of verdant plains, the WelcomHeritage Woodville Palace hotel has a rich history that dates back to 1865. The first occupier of this attractive estate in Shimla, Sir William Mansfield was the commander-in-chief of the Imperial Army. Seven centuries later, the palace was renovated by Rana Sir Bhagat Chand of Jubbal, whose wife Rani Leila Ba had received it as a gift from her father. The Rana left no stone unturned to make it a magnificent affair. Today, this estate stands as a heritage hotel, which was inaugurated in 1977 by Rana Kumar Uday Singh.
